The Next Big Thing Resource Pack 1.7.5
The Next Big Thing resource pack for Minecraft changes the appearance of literally every texture in the game. Right from the launch screen, it is apparent that players aren’t going to get the standard Minecraft experience from The Next Big Thing . The pack makes updates to the GUI, so all those clickable boxes have a kind of blue hue when they would normally be flat and gray. Other flat and lame textures throughout the world see some massive improvements, especially wooden doors and the various sandstone blocks, along with the sand used to create them.
Mineable ores are made easier to distinguish from each other by the large, singular representation on their faces. Rather than the blocks being made up of various colored dots, there is instead a giant lump of coal for coal, or a large chunk of raw gold in the case of gold. There’s no mistaking one ore for another in the dark anymore with The Next Big Thing enabled. Improvements to lighting and shadows are thanks to a decent shading mod which is included with this resource pack. Other mods will still work with The Next Big Thing installed, like Better Glass and Random Mobs, so players don’t really need to get rid of anything to make this resource pack work.
