The Golden Resource Pack 1.7.5
In Minecraft, there are some resource packs which change up the way things look to get away from the cartoony appearance which comes with the standard game. Other resource packs, like The Golden texture pack, actually go further into that cartoony look, developing on it more while brightening up the world and everything in it. All the woods, waters and sands in Minecraft get a touching up and brightening in The Golden , which does the same for just about everything except for torches, oddly enough. Glowstone and lava are bolder and clearer but torches look more or less the same as they do in standard Mincraft.
The Golden resource pack features flat, linear constructions that look even less realistic than the textures found in Minecraft originally. Burning fire is one of the only dynamic elements in this resource pack, which has some of its own unique elements to consider as well. For instance, there are two other giant mushroom types; blue and orange goliath mushrooms can be found in those special biomes as well now. Aside from torches, these giant mushrooms are pretty much the only things in The Golden resource pack which look like their original textures from Minecraft. Even wool and stone blocks have been updated and changed.
Water, on the other hand, hasn’t been touched up much at all. It’s a bit brighter and easier to see through, but the unreal textures beneath might make players wish the view wasn’t so good. Bookshelves, which were already colorful, do not look much different in The Golden resource pack. The resolution for blocks in this resource pack is 32×32, which explains a lot when it comes to the flattening out and smoothing of a majority of the textures. This will probably run better for some players than standard Minecraft because of the low resolution textures.
