A Brave New World Resource Pack 1.11

If you’ve ever tried the Real Life Seasons Mod, you will see some familiar sights in A Brave New World, which is actually a resource pack and not a mod. That distinction is important, because while A Brave New World Resource Pack will modify the visuals in Minecraft, it doesn’t really change the way anything in the game works, so what you get is kind of a facelift without any change in functionality for the game and its various mechanics. Even without the power of a mod behind it though, this resource pack manages to seriously change the way Minecraft looks for the user.

Part of this is because code left over from the Real Life Seasons Mod was used in this resource pack. That means different biomes will have the appearance of each other, except they also look like they are in different seasons. For example, the plains biome will look like autumn, while savannah biomes will look just like plains biomes, except they will appear to show the season of summer, spring or winter. These examples aren’t really specific to the resource pack, but they should give you an idea of what to expect from A Brave New World before you try it for yourself.

If you’re looking to add some visual variety to your Minecraft world, or you’re interested in building environments by hand which will, when you are done, appear to be sections taken from any summer, autumn, winter or spring season, then this is definitely the resource pack for you. Besides that, you get plenty of new icons for items, new textures for blocks and most of the other usual stuff you can expect when trying a resource pack. Even the boat has been changed from it’s boring box-like texture to be bright and colorful, making it look like a floating pool chair instead of a boat.
